1. Which company developed and owns the NexTrak® technology?

Many software companies purchase and resell best-of-breed technology from other software development firms. This type of Reseller agreement was in effect between Kronos Incorporated and Intellisys Corporation for over ten years. Intellisys is the exclusive designer and developer of NexTrak Absence & Leave Management, Attendance Tracker (aka ‘KAT’), and FMLA Tracker software previously sold as complementary additions to product offerings developed by Kronos.

Between 1993 and 2004, Kronos was one of several certified Resellers of Intellisys’ software applications. During this time, Kronos marketed Attendance Tracker (as Kronos Attendance Tracker), FMLA Tracker, and NexTrak (up to v4) as part of their product suite.

Intellisys is the leading developer of software solutions specifically designed to automate the complex administrative requirements of Absence Control (Attendance), FMLA and State-Mandated Medical Leave, as well as other Company Granted and Accrued Leave time.

2. Where can I learn more about Intellisys Corporation?

Our best-in-class applications have helped thousands of companies save time and money by automating the administration of their complex attendance and leave policies. In 1991 Intellisys released Attendance Tracker, the world’s first configurable attendance-control software. Soon after the enactment of the Family & Medical Leave Act, our software engineering team developed FMLA Tracker, the first commercially available application designed to fully automate the administrative processes and documentation requirements of FMLA.

NexTrak® Absence & Leave, launched by Intellisys in 1998, combines absence and leave automation into an integrated application that enables FMLA, state leave, company leave, and complex absence control policies to work together in harmony. NexTrak is an adaptable, rules-based, highly scalable program that enables the automation of any type of absence or leave program. All of the rules and workflow are executed automatically. Managers are alerted when responses are due or action needs to be taken. The required documents are generated and may be printed or e-mailed to employees and supervisors. In other words, NexTrak delivers real automation.

3. Why the change in our Maintenance Contracts after June 31, 2006?

After over a decade of partnership, Intellisys and Kronos reached an agreement in the fall of 2004 to focus on our respective corporate priorities. As this partnership ends, Kronos will no longer resell, support, or provide upgrades to the Intellisys Attendance Tracker, FMLA Tracker, and NexTrak software solutions. In order to continue receiving uninterrupted technical support and access to free product updates, Kronos clients with Attendance Tracker, FMLA Tracker, or NexTrak may now renew their maintenance agreements directly through Intellisys.

Intellisys will continue to honor maintenance agreements purchased through Kronos through the expiration date, or through July 31, 2006.

4. What kind of response can I expect when contacting Intellisys directly for support?

Because Intellisys is dedicated solely to supporting NexTrak and the other legacy products we developed, your support will come directly from the source of these applications. Our client support teams have an average of 7 years experience supporting our software applications. Client support resources also have a direct line of access to our advanced technical resources including certified Database Administrators and Engineering Groups. Our clients always receive prompt and courteous assistance from professionals who possess a deep knowledge of our applications.

Intellisys is very proud of our support team members and their spirit of excellence. We begin by ensuring that you speak with a real person when you call us for help. We don’t have an on-hold ‘queue’ for support calls. You’ll be connected with a support resource immediately or someone will call you back within the hour – you don’t have to spend your valuable time on hold waiting for us to answer the call.

More than 87% of support calls are resolved during the first contact and 95% of all client support calls are resolved within 24 hours of the initial contact.

5. Will Intellisys honor my current maintenance contract, even though I purchased it through Kronos or a Kronos dealer?

Yes, Clients with a current maintenance contract through Kronos are immediately eligible to use Intellisys’ direct support services. Intellisys is committed to the base of existing users and to the support of our software products.

6. How do I transfer my NexTrak maintenance coverage and support services to Intellisys?

Clients with a current maintenance contract through Kronos are immediately eligible to use Intellisys’ direct support services by calling 423-510-9111.

Renewing your maintenance contract through Intellisys is simple:
    1) Download and complete an Intellisys Maintenance Renewal form and,
    2) Fax completed form to Intellisys Support Services - 423-499-2750 (fax).

Note: We are aware that you may have received a discount on your Intellisys software maintenance from Kronos. To help you receive the same renewal rate from Intellisys, please include a copy of your most recent Kronos maintenance renewal invoice along with the Intellisys Maintenance Renewal form. In most cases, your maintenance renewal will be billed at the same price you have paid Kronos in the past.

7. Will I get the same annual maintenance rate directly from Intellisys that I received through Kronos?

We are aware that you may have received a discount on your Intellisys software maintenance from Kronos. To help you receive the same renewal rate from Intellisys, please include a copy of your most recent Kronos maintenance renewal invoice along with the Intellisys Maintenance Renewal form. In most cases, your maintenance renewal will be billed at the same price as you have paid Kronos in the past.

12. If we upgrade to NexTrak v5, will our Users need additional training?

Most clients using an earlier version of NexTrak require minimal or no additional User Training when upgrading to NexTrak Version 5. Intellisys offers a 4-hour web-based ‘Differences’ course for clients who feel their Users need some training. Clients may also choose the full 2-day course: NexTrak v5 Basic Operations.
